About Us

Centre for Green Mobility is a non profit organisation focused on people first mobility. We work where everyday movement shapes access to work, education, care, and opportunity, across streets, public transport, public spaces, and policy systems.

Grounded in real world contexts, we combine design, communication, and institutional support to help walking, cycling, and public transport work better for people, at scale.

RIGHT TO MOVE
IN PRACTICE

What we stand for ?

Everyone deserves the right to move safely, freely, and with dignity.

Movement shapes access to work, education, care, and everyday life.

Why it matters ?

When movement systems fail, people lose time, safety, opportunity, and independence.

We see this as a shared responsibility, not an acceptable trade-off.

What we work on ?

We work across streets, transport, public spaces, policy, and communication to strengthen everyday mobility where it matters most.

How we work ?

We do not jump to answers. Each project begins with understanding context, future impact, and trade-offs.

Our inputs are grounded in evidence, lived experience, and what works in real cities.

Our Journey

Centre for Green Mobility began with a simple but urgent question:

How can people move safely and with dignity in everyday life?

2012

We started as a small team working on sustainable mobility and public space ideas, driven by the belief that streets and transport systems must work for people before anything else.

2013-14

Our early work focused on strengthening government capacity, helping officials recognize walking, cycling, and public transport as essential systems for daily life.

2014-16

Through hands on pilots and tactical interventions, including safer intersections and people centred street designs, we started translating ideas into action and learning from real world conditions.

2016-19

Our work expanded to larger systems and new contexts, supporting first and last mile planning, public bicycle policies, and integrated mobility strategies.

2019-21

Across diverse contexts, our focus deepened on inclusion and everyday users, reinforcing dignity as a core outcome of mobility.

2022-23

We strengthened engagement with communities and institutions, reimagining streets and public spaces as places of social life as well as movement.

2024 and beyond

Today, CGM brings together design, policy, engagement, and communication to support people first mobility at scale, guided by ongoing learning and a commitment to the Right to Move.
